Back from a Tretreat!

I just returned from another Simply Scrappin Retreat in Springville. I came home on Saturday, instead of the full stay, but still got a lot done.

My cricut cut the city scape~~I wish I had my sewing machine on this one.

Cailey wanted to scrapbook so I gave her a few things and pictures. She got bored with it quick, but I'm glad she has an interest in it.

Pumpkin Shirt

I made cailey a pumpkin shirt for the Fall season. I got the white shirt at Target and sewed the pumpkin on it. Next time I'll use that fusable fabric stuff you're suppose to back it with. Would have made it much easier.

My Birthday Present!

I finally got my birthday present in the mail yesterday! My new camera, 12.2 mp! Here's my Canon Rebel xsi and I've got lots of other lenses & goodies with it!

Hairbows

Well, I've finally done it. I actually sat down and made 2 hairbows. Something I've been wanting to try for a very long time! All the ribbon I used was stuff I already had on hand. Just experimenting! I think I did pretty good and by golly Cailey's going to wear them! =)

This was some fun ribbon I had with tucans, tigers and lions with crayons. What I especially love is the Lion button that I used in the center. This was one of the buttons I have that my mom had from when she sewed like 30 years ago!

I did this one pretty quick to just do. Cailey has on a purple shirt today with brown/pink in it and I didn't have a bow to go with it. So I'm hoping this will somewhat match!

These were the last two of the preplanned pages. So have to plan some more. Will be awhile before another post! However I am working on a mini album and learning how to make hairbows!

Sweet Grand Daughter '05

This one is a current page that I like and it's in a frame on the wall. These pictures are from April '05. I used my Cricut expression to cut our the red part of the title, flowers & the red swirls.

Christmas Eve 2007

I haven't done that many christmas pages, so I'm not that good at them!! And there's only a few things that I like about this one. The paper is cool. The Christmas word is wood and I painted it green and brushed it over with some brown paint ot give it a vintage look to match the paper.

Valentine's 2008

Valentine's 2008. The bottom portion of the page is a pocket to hold her class valentines. The doggy was a sucker cover that she received. I thought it made a cute embellishment.

The Circus

I've actually had pages done for awhile, but just haven't posted any. I've been very anxiously wanting to scrapbook A LOT! I've gotten to go to some good scrapbook stores while on vacation and itching to get a lot done. Also excited that I will be attending another Scrapbook retreat in November!! I am also going to be really starting up my Scrapbook Life group at church in the next month or so. So if interested in joining me let me know!
Anyway, here is the page from our circus adventure in January '08. I must admit, I've been sortof just putting stuff on a page without doing a lot of thinking about it. Been going on impulse, but it's getting pages completed and that's the good thing about it!!

I actually completed 2 layouts this week. These were some layouts that I had already preplanned for the retreat, but didn't get to them. So hopefully I can finish the other ones soon.

These pics were taken fall '07. Which I just now realized that I left the date off! I used my new Cricut (which I love) to make the title. Makes it so quick & easy! I made the large lady bug and also did some little ones around the page. I think this is a favorite, I really like it.

The journaling up close!

They Might Be Giants concert in March. Loved doing this page, was pretty easy since I had some TMBG stickers!! One of the chipboard stars has the ticket on it. And the iLike actually came from the back of a ticket! Thought it helped bringing together the orange in the layout. I actually like this one a lot. Lots of fun!
